Knit to place where you have to turn work, turn work, wrap, purl to end.  Knit to wrapped stitched, then knit wrap together with stitch which was wrapped.

 This knitting stitch is useful in many knitting patterns, and will obviously work well with many yarn types.  I've always preferred wool yarn.  Sure beats using a knitting machine.
